How Sildenafil Works
Sildenafil or Viagra is a PDE5 (Phosphodiesterase type 5 inhibitors) medicine which is commonly used for erectile dysfunction treatment. Erectile dysfunction is a sexual dysfunction in which Man suffering from it can not get enough erection, or he is not able to maintain an erection for longer times.
Sildenafil is used to eliminate these erection problems. When Viagra or Sildenafil enters the body, it starts creating a calming effect, relaxing blood vessels in the penile region. Thus creating a strong blood flow to the penis and creating a firm and more prolonged erection. In a study, it is found that it is 74% effective in the treatment of Erectile dysfunction.
However, taking sildenafil does not guarantee you will get an erection. It is not a sexually stimulating or or sexual arousal or aphrodisiac agent that increases sexual stimulation. Sildenafil can help you get a firm erection, but to get arousal, you have to indulge in sexual activity to start the erection. Thus, it is unsuitable for healthy men with arousal and sexual thoughts problems.
Sildenafil 50 mg needs 30 minutes to 1 hour to start working. Therefore you should take it at least 1 hour before the sexual intercourse. Also, avoid eating heavy meals after medicine. It will further decrease the erection efficiency of medicine.
